Calling on Africa’s young entrepreneurs: ANZISHA PRIZE

Are you into social business? Is your business innovative and exciting? Are you an African Youth between the ages of 15 and 22? Well, Anzisha Prize is looking for people of your calibre.

This is not your run-off-the-mill award prize with a ridiculous lump sum to give to a young and promising entrepreneur without the need of monitoring or a follow yp. This is a social impact program holistically focused on accelerating the entry of millions of Africans into viable entrepreneurship opportunities in high economic growth sectors – such as agriculture for example.The Anzisha Prize’s primary mandate is to support entrepreneurial youth and partner organsiations to drive pan-African economic growth by 2020, and one of their robust methods is through upliftment of young entrepreneurs.

Collaborating with African Leadership Academy and MasterCard Foundation, The Anzisha prize awards 12 finalists with a two week trip to South Africa to learn at the African Leadership Academy, and jointly share over $75 000 in cash funding. The grand prize winner receives $25 000 to grow their business, and all Anzisha fellows from this year will be supported through the recently launched Young Entrepreneur Support Unit – based at African Leadership Academy. This means that the Anzisha Prize provides mentorship, consulting services, community gathering and travel opportunities to laureates that will help them expand their businesses.
