Haile SelasieOver the years, western formal education has marred our history as Africans, and we primarily learn about Africa in post colonial times, rooting from the scramble of African resources and slavery. What happened before the 16th Century? not a lot of our youth are aware. We require our own energies and interests to learn about Mansa Musa, the Empires of West Africa and we rid ourselves of legends that were past on from generations to generations.

In order to move forward to true economic independence and socio-political freedom, we must look back into the wise words of Ethiopia’s last reigning Emperor and our own iconic Afrolutionist Haile Selassie I. Our history is a form of our solution to an interdependent, free Africa.
