#NEWSUPDATE IOM Ethiopia extends their aid to South Sudan Refugees

In these past two weeks, International Office of Migration in Ethiopia relocated an estimated 41 978 South Sudanese refugees.

Transporting them with 443 buses, 86 trucks and a helicopter provided by UNHCR (to those unfit for road travel) IOM moved the refugees from Leitchour camps and Nip Nip to Jewi camp in Gambella province, Ethiopia.

Since the breakout of conflict, there have been over 500 000 South Sudanese refugees crossing into neighbouring countries, with Ethiopia receiving the highest number of refugees at a toll number of 208 177 to date.
