#ArtisticFridays Help take Chasing Jaykb to Grahamstown

Our beloved Artivist, Writivist and Afrolutionist Kat Kai Kol Kes  is part of a musical project Chasing Jaykb (pronounced JayKib).

Set to be performing on stage at the internationally acclaimed National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa Chasing JayKB will be the ONLY musical act from Botswana to be performing on stage.Kat’s artistry isn’t an unknown talent in our environment, as she was noted by Brand Botswana 2013-14 as Best of Botswana Performing artist, plus her band was in the shortlist and further selected as one of the musCJ Live NAF dates 4ical acts in the contemporary music programme at the festival.

Due to a lack of funding from the country’s department of arts and culture, Kat needs YOUR help on her acoustic journey to Grahamstown. Why? because now that she’s part of the programme, her failure to honour the engagement will result in a 3 year ban from the festival AND all associated events. Apart from this, her own talent speaks for itself – have a listen to the band’s EP “Bongo Country” and see if you agree.

Help Kat reach her BWP 10 500 target through making your donation at Sgotti Cocktail bar and lounge (for those who live in Gaborone Botswana, or through sponsoring her flight tickets, or accommodation. The prices for each are set below:
